On 28th Dec’19, we have signed up for two online modules “Stydy’n’learn” from an institute called SmartSchool Education Pt Ltd. One is for Class 8th, 9th & 10th and another is for Class 4th, 5th & 6th. The total fees for the course was Rs. 35, 000/- each i.e Rs. 70, 000/- (Rupees Seventy thousand). We had paid Rs. 14, 000/- (Rupees fourteen thousand) as advance payment to SmartSchool and they have arranged balance amount Rs. 56, 000/- to finance through i2i funding/ RNVP Technology Pvt Ltd at an EMI of 4667/-p.m for 12 months. Till date I had paid them Rs. 37, 335/- (Rupees thirty Seven thousand three hundred and thirty five). Rs. 14, 000/- as advance payment and 5 installments of Rs. 4667/- i.e. Rs. 23335/-.
After installation we found out that the modules that was provided were incapable as most of them would not run and whichever modules run they didn’t have relevant topics. After several follow-ups the technical team from Smart School visited couple of times with an upgrade of the software but the same has not been installed and resolved due to some technical issue instead we have started facing log-in issue. This problem we had faced till Feb’20.
We had continued to follow-up with different executives of Smart School, e.g. Mr. Samrat Das, Mrs Triparna from Sales & Mr. Sayantan Ghosh from Technical team. During these telephonic follow-ups and commitments to get a resolution, my KIDs had lost almost 2 crucial months. As the Modules for class 4 and 8 were not been installed till Feb’20 we had asked for refund for the payment that we made for Class 4 & 8 because these modules were of no use for my KIDs anymore as the session was over.
After not getting any support from the Sales as well as the Technical team we had decided to cancel the course and asked them to refund the payment we have done.
Instead of paying our hard earned money back to us SmartSchool has sent us a legal notice on 2nd Sep’22.
