Full Description:
I was having issue with a laptop that it was shutting down and then restarting after few hours and sometime s days. At that time I remembered that there is some company who is in the same building as ours and some one from their team had given the visiting card for laptop repairs. So I went down to their office and showed them the laptop. My laptop was MacBook Air and they didn’t have screw driver which can open MacBook so they asked me to come back the next day. my laptop started working and I didn’t feel the need to show them again. after few days, laptop was acting weird again so I thought I should get it fixed since I cannot afford to waste my time again and again as I have to complete Projects as well, which obviously would be delayed if my laptop won’t work. I showed them my laptop again and they clearly said it would at least cost 2500 + Gst to repair it, since it is a MacBook and if there is some sort of complex problem it the mother board, it would cost me more. I already knew that they would say something and increase the cost which they did, they said there is some problem in the board and now the cost would be 3500 + Gst, I asked them if they can do this task in a bit less and they said 3200+ Gst is the final cost and I have them a thumbs-up to go ahead and repair it.
They asked to me come and collect laptop on Saturday so I came in the morning and tried to call them. by them, I am referencing their employee ANJU. so Anju started Ignoring my calls on Saturday and I waited in my office. at last, I called Vikram to ask the status since it wasn’t a working day and I had to come to office, that too whole day since I got my laptop around 5:30 pm. I got the laptop, I cleared the invoice within few minutes and then I went home. I came back to my office on Monday and started testing the laptop. the problem was still there, as soon as we started our office projects, my laptop was again went off and I was not able to start it. I reported this problem again to them and asked them why is it happening. they said it is because of moisture on the mother board, which was there on the first day when I gave them my laptop to repair. they tried and were not able to repair from them. they took laptop for almost 15 days and still not able to repair it.
when I asked that what is the problem in the board, they said it is unrepairable.
They didn’t knew how to repair a MacBook but they still experimented on my laptop which cost me not only my 15 days of not working but also the machine is not useful to me. that laptop costed me approximately 67, 000 rs when I bought it. I don’t need money but I need a working condition MacBook as they have already ruined my laptop by experimenting on it.
They even refuse to tell me what they have repaired so I cannot go to another vendor and tell him what is exactly the issue. They also denied to refund me the amount which they took to repair but rather than repairing, they have made my laptop a metal box and nothing else.
I am very offended by such fraud service providers which are exploiting the service model.
